We are committed to establishing horticultural best practice in collaboration with some of the industry’s leading specialists in their fields. By constantly evaluating both theory and practice, this division facilitates the roll-out of industry best practice methodologies to not only our own farms, but those of alliance growers as well.

In addition, we proudly provide growers with support on industry/customer compliance, orchard development, root stocks and other emerging technologies. Our office is located in Elgin.

We have five production units: Applegarth, Eikenhof, Glen Elgin, Graymead and Jackal River. Combined, our production units span over 1300 hectares of apple and pear orchards in the Elgin and Vyeboom regions of the Western Cape.

We specialize in the production of apples and pears, producing both the tried and trusted varieties as well as constantly exploring new varieties. Our farming team is continuously working on improving the quality of fruit by adopting the latest technology and horticultural practices. A number of exciting new varieties are constantly being trialled in our research and development orchard on Graymead.

We provide strategic and tactical support to each business unit in the areas of human resources management, financial management and information systems. Our headquarters are in Somerset West.
